Getting Set-Apart

Tuesday, July 5, 2016, Daxton got set apart to become an Elder. We all just kind of hung around him today.. We went to Jim's for Breakfast with the family, came home and napped and just chilled. The air was a bit somber awaiting the 7:20 pm time that Daxton was going to be set apart as an Elder. The only other time in his life that he could be set apart as an Elder again would be that he was called to be a General Authority. It was a big day. We all got in the car and drove down to the church and waited as another sister missionary was being set a part in our Stake and going to the Ohio. We walked in and the Stake presidency was there to greet us. We sat down as the Bishop and Stake Presidency gave a little testimony on the importance of Missionary work they told us the story of Alma the younger and how he was so rebellious towards the church and how he had friends  called The  Sons of Mosiah he had convinced as well and they were literally so evil. The prayers of his father was answered when an Angel appeared to him telling him he was sent on behalf of the prayers of his father Alma and how he needed to repent and change his ways. Alma the younger is one of the all time best conversion stories ever. The spirit was strong as they all played their hands on Daxton's head and set him apart as an Elder... You could feel such a powerful strength in the room.
