Week 77- "In der Weihnachtsbäkeri"

Well, the second Christmas on my mission has come and gone. It was awesome to be able to spend these past 3 days with members. Here in Germany, they celebrate Christmas on the 24th that’s their big day, then the 25th and 26th are the first and second days of Christmas so they celebrate all of those as well! The members here took care of us and we are way too much food.

24th we were at the Markaj’s and ate Raclette a traditional meal for Christmas here. 25th we were at our ward mission leaders house and had a Köln ward legend there. Sister Huhn who is 96, she has awesome war stories and then 26th we were at the Nowaks :)

So every day this week was basically a party and now today is p day. Last Friday I went to Solingen and interviewed all 3 of their baptismal candidates and they were all baptized on Saturday so that was awesome! Was a good experience to see all of those ward members again and see how excited they were to have some baptisms in the ward.

Next week I will be in a new area with a new companion. Should be my last area on my mission. Crazy to think just 4 months left. It’s gonna fly.

Week 76- "Das Kind"

Not going to lie this week was one of the craziest weeks I have had on my mission. My comp and I were talking and we didn’t talk to or have a lesson with anyone who was like all there. We experienced everything this week.

Was teaching the gospel principles last week and like 20 people were in there. This random lady shows up and said she would like to be baptized. Took her aside after the class and slapped a date on her. Looking back this was for sure a full send because she’s just a special woman we will put it at that.

This week I studied Matthew and Luke 1. The following and obedience to a revelation, that Mary and Joseph had, is so amazing. Even though they had doubts and fears they trusted in God and because of that Christ was born. I would invite you all to read those chapters and notice Mary and her fear in Luke but then she submits to the will of God. In Luke 1:45-55 she then describes the mission of her Lord on earth. So awesome.

I love my Savior and am grateful to bare testimony of Him and His name every day whether people like it or not. This is my second and last Christmas as a missionary and it’s bittersweet. But that’s life, the show goes on.

Week 75- "Judah"

Yo! It’s been almost a week.

We have p day today because a 70 is visiting us tomorrow so that should be exciting.

Sam was baptized on Saturday and asked me to baptize him. He is actually like straight her and has family in Israel. His story is sick. Has known the church for a while but just barely found out it was true for himself hahaha he’s a funny guy. The interview was something else hahaha. But it's straight prophesied from the Book of Mormon for the Jews to accept the gospel. So there’s that for ya

This week was sick just a lot of contacting in the cold rain. Yesterday, Tucker came out contacting with us for 3 hours. He plays professional ball here and never served a mission so he wanted to come out. He also sent the missionaries to his wife’s moms house this week in Detroit so she is now taking the lessons.

Idk what else happened this week. That’s all I got. Get to hang with the boy Gabriel Whitney today in Köln. This weekend we have a Christmas party and we are putting on a show so that’ll be fun. 

Spread some Christmas cheer this week or something. Read your scriptures pray and visit the temple. Idk why people don’t go to the temple more. I freaking miss it.
